Ole Obermann, TikTok’s Global Head of Music Development, emphasized the platform’s role in music discovery and artist success. TikTok’s Add to Music App feature has generated over 1 billion saves, showcasing the community’s engagement with music content on the platform. The report also highlighted that TikTok influences streaming volumes significantly, with an average 11% increase in music streaming following a peak in TikTok views.

Moreover, the report revealed that US TikTok users are more likely to have a paid music streaming subscription compared to the general population. Superfans of music on TikTok engage with artists on various levels, spending 46% more on music per month than average listeners. Additionally, TikTok users show increased spending on physical music formats, live events, and artist merchandise, emphasizing their dedication and support for music.
