that they were the greatest band. So originally my thinking was, in order for us to succeed in some way, in order for us to establish ourselves in some way, our songs had to be different. And our sound had to be different. So every song we wrote, I always wanted it to sound like completely different from the one that we had just played. And they did sound different because, back then, everyone was trying to be different but everyone sounded the same.”
