Doobie Brothers to start new tour at preferred Detroit venue
Rock legends, The Doobie Brothers, are set to embark on a summer tour that will kick off at the iconic Pine Knob Music Theatre, a venue that holds a special place in the band’s heart. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will start their tour on August 4th at the Clarkson amphitheater, marking the beginning of a 19-date tour that will conclude in Toronto on September 18th.

The upcoming tour comes on the heels of the release of The Doobie Brothers’ new album, “Walk This Road,” scheduled for release on June 6th. This album will mark the first time in 40 years that the band, consisting of Michael McDonald, Patrick Simmons, Tom Johnston, and John McFee, has come together to create new music. Pine Knob Music Theatre has served as a familiar and cherished stage for The Doobie Brothers, with the band having performed more than 60 shows at the venue since 1974. Reflecting on their long history at Pine Knob, founding member Patrick Simmons shared, “We have so much history there in the Detroit area. We’ve been playing there for so many years, and we know there’s a deep fan base there for us. There always has been.”
