Mumford & Sons to Perform Small Live shows Before ‘Rushmere’ Album Drops
Mumford & Sons have exciting plans for the upcoming months, as they gear up for the release of their new album, RUSHMERE, after a seven-year hiatus. This British folk-rock band is set to grace live stages once again with a series of intimate shows across Europe, the U.K., Australia, and North America.
The band’s return to the live music scene is highly anticipated, especially since their last headline live dates in the U.K. and Europe back in 2018. The announcement of their new album has generated buzz among fans, who can already listen to the title track, “RUSHMERE,” in preparation for the full album release on March 28th.
Before the album drops, Mumford & Sons will kick off their live performances with small club shows in cities like Amsterdam, Paris, and Berlin, followed by a return to the U.K. The band will then make a stop at the iconic Sydney Opera House before heading to North America for shows in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, and Brooklyn.
To ensure fair access to tickets, the band’s fan community, agora, will have priority ticket access starting on February 13th, with general on-sale tickets available the following day. Fans are encouraged to sign up for agora and register their interest for their preferred show by February 10th.
In partnership with PLUS1, Mumford & Sons will donate $1 from every ticket sold to War Child, an organization dedicated to helping children affected by war. This charitable initiative adds another layer of significance to the band’s live performances and album release.
In addition to their live dates, Mumford & Sons will be part of a special event celebrating 50 years of Saturday Night Live at Radio City Hall in New York, alongside other music legends like David Byrne, Jack White, Chris Martin, and Lady Gaga. The concert will be streamed live for U.S. viewers on February 14th.
For Mumford & Sons, RUSHMERE holds a special significance as it marks the starting point of their musical journey. The band’s origins can be traced back to Rushmere, a pond on Wimbledon Common in London, where the band members first envisioned their musical collaboration.
Produced by Grammy winner Dave Cobb, RUSHMERE was recorded across multiple locations, including RCA Studio A in Nashville, Savannah, GA, and Marcus’ studio in Devon. This album represents a new chapter for Mumford & Sons, highlighting their creative evolution and musical growth over the years.
As fans eagerly await the album release and upcoming live shows, Mumford & Sons continue to captivate audiences with their heartfelt lyrics, soulful melodies, and unforgettable performances. Stay tuned for more updates from the band as they embark on this exciting new chapter in their musical journey.
