The Black Keys reveal 2025 tour dates and upcoming album
The Black Keys, the Grammy-winning rock duo, have exciting news for their fans. The duo just announced the spring leg of their “No Rain No Flowers Tour,” which is set to kick off on May 23 in Oklahoma. The tour will make stops at over a dozen iconic venues, including the Red Rocks Amphitheatre and The Greek Theatre, before heading back to Europe in July.
This tour holds special significance for The Black Keys as they were forced to cancel their 2024 North American Tour due to a dispute with their former management company. With a fresh perspective and a newfound drive to hit the road again, the duo is gearing up to bring a renewed energy to their performances. They plan to draw from their critically acclaimed two-decade deep catalog during their shows.
Fans can also look forward to a new album from The Black Keys later this year, which will be released via Easy Eye Sound / Warner Records.
Drummer Patrick Carney shared, “After the tour was canceled, the consensus was, ‘Shit happens, and you just have to move through it.’ We were already on a creative streak, and the best thing we could do, rather than sit at home, was just go back in the studio. Get back to work. So, that’s how the record started.” Guitarist Dan Auerbach added, “Writing and recording has always been therapy for us, from the very beginning. We communicate best that way. It has always been the thing that’s brought us together, so I’m not surprised at all that we ended up back there so quickly after the last album.”
The upcoming album promises an eclectic and at times unexpected sound that draws inspiration from the duo’s wildly popular Record Hangs events. The influence of these vinyl-centric dance parties is evident in the album’s focus on grooves and danceability.
Additionally, Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets for select US dates beginning on February 4th. The official card of the No Rain No Flowers Tour, Citi Entertainment program will offer this exclusive presale opportunity until February 6th at 10pm local time.
In conclusion, The Black Keys are set to embark on an exciting tour filled with energy, new music, and a renewed passion for performing live. Their upcoming album promises a fresh sound that draws from their diverse influences, making it a highly anticipated release for fans. Stay tuned for more updates on The Black Keys and their upcoming tour dates.
