Stereophonics Unveil New Album ‘Make ’em Laugh, Make ’em Cry, Make ’em Wait’
Welsh band Stereophonics recently announced the upcoming release of their new album titled ‘Make ’em Laugh, Make ’em Cry, Make ’em Wait,’ which is set to debut on April 25th. The album, comprising of eight songs, has been carefully crafted by the band and is now available for pre-order. Known for their chart-topping albums, Stereophonics recorded the new tracks in London, bringing a fresh sound to their fans.
Lead singer Kelly Jones drew inspiration from his affinity for visual art while designing the album cover. During a visit to New York, Jones encountered a painting by Louise Bourgeois titled ‘ART IS A GUARANTY OF SANITY,’ which underscored the therapeutic nature of art. Intrigued by the simplicity and impact of the painting, Jones decided to incorporate his own artistic touch to create a visually striking album cover in varying shades of pink. According to Jones, the idea behind the title of the album was sparked by his teacher from art school three decades ago, resulting in the birth of the ‘pink album.’
In addition to the album release, Stereophonics also shared details of their upcoming international tour, including performances at the Isle of Wight festival and Neighbourhood Weekender among other venues. The band teased fans with the premiere of their latest single, ‘There’s Always Gonna Be Something,’ a dynamic rock track that showcases Kelly’s distinctive vocals. The lyrics of the song delve into themes of uncertainty and the perpetual struggle to find acceptance within oneself.
