Ikimonogakari to Drop Exclusive Live Tour Recordings for Nine Weeks Straight
ari. The name of the band comes from their shared experience of taking care of animals together in elementary school. They started by performing on the streets of their hometown and eventually made their major debut in 2006 with the song “SAKURA.”
Since then, Ikimonogakari has released many hit songs, including “Arigatou,” “YELL,” “Bluebird,” and “Kaze ga Fuiteiru.” In 2021, they transitioned to working as a duo, releasing their 12th original album, “○” in December 2023.
In 2024, Ikimonogakari has exciting plans, including a nationwide hall tour as a duo, the release of several tie-up songs for TV shows and commercials, and their first non-tie-up single “Aitai” which ranked in the TOP 14 on the Oricon weekly charts. They will also be celebrating their 25th anniversary with an acoustic concert at the Budokan.
Looking ahead to June 2025, Ikimonogakari will kick off their arena tour “Ikimonogakari no Minasan, Konnichiwa!! 6 ~ASOBI~” for fans to enjoy live music at its best.
